Re: plazma burn in from video games

Plasma burn-in occurs when the same picture is on the screen for a long time. You should only have a problem if you leave the WII on a menu for extended periods, or leave it paused for extended periods. Be careful about that, and you should be fine.

What settings should I use for playing Xbox on my VX2370Smh-LED monitor?

First, if you're not familiar with it, remember the key to clear pictures with LED and Plazma tv's is FRPM or frame refresh rate per minute.Usually, the higher the better, but the norm is between 40-60 FPM(frames per minute)

Why is my PS2 black and white on this new plazma we bought. it is NOT hooked up wrong.

First I know this sounds silly but try turning your TV off then back on again with the PS2 connected.
If that doesn't work try this
first go to your tv settings
then go to video/visual/
and then change PAL to NTSC
OR select AUTO

And if that doesnt work, the final solution is to find the switch that is on your AV cable that connects your PS2 to your TV, switch it from Video to Game (I think)

Hope one of these solutions work

Xbox 360 lights are green but it says mode not supported on the tv screen -no picture at all -even tried another tv and heard the audio at times but no picture-all cords intact-no ventalation problem...

Bad very bad.
It's bad solder connections under the G.P.U.
Trust me I know, I re-flow about 2-3 a day .
but the units are normally about 2 1/2 -3 years old
and 60% are Microsoft reworks. you can tell this by
a black dot on the safety seal .

You have 2 options Fix it you self , if done right you should
get 2-9 months sometimes more.

Or have a shop re-flow the G.P.U. . cost 80.00 or so.
you should get 3-12 month hard to say with these unit.

My ps2-slim

it appears that your GPU ( Graphics chip ) Has burnt out.
Comon problem with PS2s. especially if they,re about 2 years plus old. it,s not worth a repair. this will cost you about £120+ better to get either a new motherboard or even purchase a new console. if it,s been played for a couple of years or more, then you,ve had the moneys worth out of it.
If it,s out of warranty, and you decide to strip it down for investigation. look at the graphics chip, it,ll have a burn mark on 1 corner.

Plasma Burn IN

It's actually similar to the old screen burn in you'd see on very old CRT televisions and monitors. You can play your playstation on it, just make it a point not to leave it on the same screen for long periods. For instance, if you pause the game, turn the TV off until you're ready to continue.

Plasma Burn In only happens if you leave the same image on the screen for an extended period. Just don't do that, and you'll be fine.

Use of PS3 on Plasma TV's

I was worried about burn in when I got my 42 inch plasma a year ago. I read reviews and suggestions saying that you should not play games on it for the first couple months of use on the plasma TV's. I actaully stayed away from games for about a month on it and I have been fine and have never had any issues. I have a cheaper model as well so I would guess the expensive ones would be even better then that for burn in.
