Networking a PS3 with a Windows XP PC

Connected my PS3 as per instructions... NO Problem.. Wirelessly connected to my router, MAC address filtering applied, however, No matter what I try, I cannot get my windows machine  ( XP Pro) to "see" the networked PS3.  ALso, as with the other guy, the so-called "browser" wont allow me to browse, and seems locked to the Sony webpage...

I'm using a Dlink 524 router on my XP home pc and cannot get WMP to show my ps3 as an available device. I'm using Norton security and have played around with security settings with no luck. Is there something I need to do with my router to allow the ps3 and WMP to communicate?

HP DESKJET D1360 HOW TO SET UP WIRELESSLY USING MAC

Are you trying to use MAC filtering. You would just need the MAC from the network setup screen and add it to your router/firewall.

If you are using a Mac (Apple) computer you would, providing you have a wireless adapter connected to Mac, just go into "System Preferences" and use the wizard under "Print & Scan". Make sure the networking on the printer is in on the same as your Mac.

Why can I detect Konica Minolta c350 with my computer (windows xp) through networking? please explain this problem.

This is a very common issue in connecting printer in a LAN.

First of all you need to set up a fixed IP address in your Printer. Please follow this as per your user manual. Secondly you need to check whether this fixed IP address is reserved or not. If it is not reserved, please reserve this Fixed IP address assigned to your printer with the unique printer MAC address. You need to follow the usual manual as per your router in how to reserve fixed IP address for a particular device. Thirdly you need to allow your firewall settings in your PC to get through communication with this printer, else your PC will be blocked to communicate with this printer.

Finally just install the printer driver program in your PC and it should work now.

I think you need to register the MAC address of your xbox. Try to call your ISP or xbox people to register your xbox mac address so that you can use in wirelessly. They need to clone the mac address of your xbox so that when you need to use your router it wont have any problem connecting to the internet.

Hi,

It's not really required to plug in your PC via ethernet cable to the wireless router in order for you to configure it. It is however, recommended to connect it via ethernet cable initially so that when you changethe wireless settings on the router you wont get disconnected. Please note, that when you connect your PC wirelessly all wireless settings should match (Wireless Name/SSID, Wireless Security (WEP/WPA keys or passphrase), Wireless MAC Filtering).
