Sometimes after booting process, I can not access my applications or my startup programs. For example my MSN chat, yahoo chat and mozilla browser are all startup programs, but they dissapear from the task bar and when i try to click on them in th start menu, nothng happens. I have to shut down the computer , sometimes useing the power switch to shut it down and hope the programs are fully loaded on my next boot. Could it be a problem with msconfig acer power management tools and if so how do i fix it?
After your system boots, try right-clicking on the task bar and select "Properties" in the dialog box that appears. Click the tab that says "Notification Area" and see if the box "Hide Inactive Icons" is checked. If so, remove the checkmark. You can also leave the check there and select the "Customize" button to mark the ones you want to Hide/Show all the time.
