Getting drive belts is easy, fitting them is the problem. If it is still attached in any way make a note or a photo of how it is fixed. This will help to putting a new one on. Measure the diameter of the old belt in mm. You will also need to measure the thickness in mm too. Then put these words into Google: "Turntable Belt xx mm" (use the diameter measurement in place of the XX). Then search the results looking for something that is very close to your belt. If you find the belt, try searching again for the fitting of it. Quote the model number of the turntable. The fitting instructions might even be found on this site.

SOURCE: Belt broken; how do I fit in a new one?

I believe the platter simply lifts straight up off the spindle. Put the new belt on the platter and reinstall it. Then, working through the access hole in the platter, put the belt around the motor drive shaft. Rotate the platter a couple of revolutions to make sure everything's seated properly and you should be back to spinnin' the hits in no time!

Can't get the darn to work

Remove the drive belt and see if the turntable spins, if it does the drive motor is faulty, if it doesn't then (if this is a new turntable) it's possibly got a locking device to hold the turn table steady during shipping.

Turntable will not turn

If you lift up the mat of the deck you should see a large whole in the platter. Rotate the platter by hand and you should see if the belt is attached or not. If broken then take out the remains of the belt and measure the diameter of the belt in mm. Put that into Google with the words "turntable drive belt" and you should find a match. You might also have to look up how it's fitted.

My Pioneer PL-112D turntable has a broken drivebelt, is it possible to buy a new one, and is there a diagram showing the belt "routing". Thanks.

I don't believe this belt is being provided by the Pioneer. So I did find another option at a reasonable price on E-bay.

Turntable won't turn

Hi!

Without any other information (and assuming you've checked to make sure there is power to the turntable and that it is turned on), the likely culprit is the belt drive of your turntable. Most, but not all, turntables have a "belt" that looks like a big rubber band on the underside of the turntable that connects the turntable itself to the drive motor. If the band has slipped out of place, stretched too far from age or usage, or broken, the turntable won't turn. To find out if this is your problem, gently lift the "platter" straight up (it should easily slide back into place) and visually see if the "rubber band" is in place. If it is stretched too far or broken, a new one should be availble form Teac or your local electronics supplier. If, by chance, you have a direct-drive turntable (unlikely), the problem will probably need professional work.

Good luck and please let me know if this helps!
