Question about ViewSonic VP181 18.1" LCD Monitor

Where to find replacement key controller board for vp181 base

One of the keys on the base of my vp181 viewsonic monitor has stopped working.  it doesn't seem to be springing back when pressed.  it could be worn out from overuse or it may have been damaged by a soft drink mishap.  i've taken the base apart and observed that the actual key device isn't springing back.  it and the other six keys are mounted on a detachable board, so it seems I should be able to get a replacement, but I don't know from where?  any thoughts would be appreciated.

You might need to replace the board that has the d-sub connector on it, ebay might have that, this is a fairly used monitor if you where to have it replaced by a repair shop it might not be worth your wild on it but its up to you. i price this board around
$35-50 bucks respectively.

Won't power on

check your power supply maybe its too old to work for your computer. If the power supply is not the problem try checking the cables, there might be loose connections.

Also , you should check the power source of your home, maybe you have a low voltage and that wont turn on your monitor.

I have viewsonic 1703wb monitor. Often Monitor power went off

Check the power cable. If it uses a power brick style assembly (like a laptop) it may need to be replaced. Some power bricks can break a wire at the base of the brick just enough that it causes a short in the system and shuts down the power flow.

Our viewsonic monitor tilts forward. how do we tilt it back?

Hello again.
The ViewSonic VG1930wm has a height adjustment range of 3.2", TILT capabilities, and a swivel range of 360 degrees.
So yes your monitor should be able to tilt back and forth.  Most likely if you hold the base of the monitor, and press somewhere on the front at the top or bottom (do not press on the screen itself) then it should easily tilt back and forth.  Occassionally there is a switch you may have to hold while you push on the front-top/bottom of the monitor which acts as a lock for the tilt angle.
Hope that helps, and don't forget to vote/rate!
Height adjustment range 3.2", tilt, swivel range 360º

Starts up looking good then in 3 minutes, all hell...

Go to the ViewSonic site and read through their knowledge base on your monitor.

Then once you familiarize yourself with electronics safety by reading through a basics manual once or five times, and once you've got it, open up the monitor cold and/or hot, and find out where they spilled Coca-cola down the back or whatever might be suggested by the ViewSonic knowledge base.  Lather, rinse, repeat; when the monitor acts right, then stop.
