Get a new guitar

go to bios settings and note type of cd device model number for cd drive and then search internet for windows 64 bit driver for model number and install

Go to mfg web site for win 7 drivers, if any.

Could be a bit issue, as window 7 sometime doesn't reconize a 64bit cpu if you install a 32bit operating system. What version of windows 7 are you using, home, basic, ultimate??? Some version will reconize it such as ultimate, and professional since they have xp installed on it. Most likely it's a bit issue since the athlon x2 are old model and with windows 7 32bit, it didn't reconize it, if you are installing the 32bit system.... microsoft is just trying to make money by issuing 1 key for 1 computer, and if you are resintalling the os, with a new hardware installed also, then it could also fail because the first time you install windows 7 with the hardware, the hardware is also registered to windows and furhter down the road if you try to install windows 7 with a new hardware, it wouldn't let you, or would crash.

Try to click control panel and click add hardware next. Be sure that the mouse is connected to the PC so that the PC can detect your hardware. Just click whatever is asked. And then let the PC detect and install the new hardware for you.

umm maybe you got a wrong guitar... the port is supposed to be USB shaped port which fits straight into one of the two slots on the front of the xbox.

it might be the connector to the patle try cleaning both if still broke get new guitar

i know this will sound weird but try hitting the guitar agaisnt a wall thats what i did when my select button and my green buton stopped working
