Problem for PC Laptops
Generic problem for all PC Laptops
No sound
i got a virus so i ended up reformatting my gateway laptop.
the recovery disc they sent me was wrong..it put xp back on but i had no drivers..so i took my laptop to a repairman and he downloaded all the drivers for me at a cost....everything worked except sound....in the device manager under sounds,vidios etc.the realtek ac'97 audio has a yellow icon with a black mark.....when i open it i get a code 10 by it....it says it cannot start because of a code 10...ive tried updateing drivers but it is the latest...plz help

- I have uninstalled and reinstalled my sound device on my inspiron E1505 and I still get a "Cannot start CODE 10" message please help!! Also where is the sound card located w/in the computer? I want to see if it is connected properly.- apollo2714

Fisrt go to the bios and ENABLE SOUND CARD
Then UNINSTALL COMPLETLLY AUDIO DRIVERS IF U HAVE INSTALLED and restart the pc.After that go with safe mode and from device menager install driver just from there.Do not run setup...Then restart the pc and run setup...
