Question about Fuji FinePix A350 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Camera won't turn on.

We bought this camera new for our daughter.  She used it about 2 months and then it would no longer turn on.  We tried new batteries and it still won't turn on.  Where can we send it for repair?

Re: Camera won't turn on.

Mine had the same problem.  I consulted and it said to use rechargeable batteries only.  The entry claimed that alkaline batteries, even if they're brand new, don't have sufficient power for more than a few pictures and may not even be powerful enough to turn the camera on.  I was dubious, but I tried putting in a pair of fully charged rechargeables and, by Gum, the camera was suddenly working again.  So before junking the camera, try investing 20 bucks in a battery charger and a pair of AA rechargeables and see if that fixes it.

try a different battery or use an external charger.... the battery could be faulty, or the camera charge function could be faulty.... a different battery will help you decide where the problem is.

Battery temperature high...what do I do?

Apparently, the manual says the battery may get hot during use. If the "battery temperature high" warning comes on, you're supposed to turn it off for 5 minutes.

The usb connecting my camera to the computer is not recognized apparently. the memory card i bought with it no longer works with it. i have had it for 6 months.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( ).

I have the same camera and the same problem, if you use lithium batteries it keeps the charge longer because regular batteries aren't strong enough. Hope that helps you! :)
