Sounds like an issue with your compressor no starting. You should ohm out the windings on the compressor

hi!! make sure that the inside evaporator fan is on and that the compressor and condensor fan motor is on. if they are all on then you have a seal system leak of refrigerant..Good luck..

SOURCE: Refrigerator cooler and fan stopped

On winecaptains when I hear this its usually telling me that the thermostat is open. You will need to replace it. You can put the 2 wires together and plug the unit back in to see if this works. If it does replace the thermostat. If this is a 20 series then the control should be a #2767-1 if its a 15 or 75 wc then part #2767-S But if its a 21 then you need somthing else with the electric. Try to unplug the unit and wait 5 min then restart it if its a 21 series

Afd2535des not cooling in any department, when I opened the doors, the lights work and the led temp control lights up. I hear a fan start and 5 seconds later the fan stops n leds shut off.

  1. Check the thermostat: Make sure the thermostat is set to a temperature that is low enough to cool the refrigerator. If the thermostat is not working properly, it may need to be replaced.
  2. Check the condenser coils: The condenser coils on the back of the refrigerator should be clean and free of dust and debris. If the coils are dirty, the refrigerator will not be able to cool properly. Use a vacuum cleaner or a brush to clean the coils.
  3. Check the fan motor: If the fan motor is not running, the refrigerator will not be able to cool properly. Check if the fan motor is receiving power and if it's spinning freely. If the fan motor is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
  4. Check the start relay: The start relay helps the compressor start up. If the start relay is faulty, the compressor may not start and the refrigerator will not be able to cool properly. If the start relay is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
  5. Check the compressor: If the compressor is not working, the refrigerator will not be able to cool properly. Check if the compressor is receiving power and if it's running. If the compressor is faulty, it will need to be replaced.

Our new Dometic DM2852 will not stop running. Help!

Old solution from a forum but it get sense.
Citation: "It seems like there could be several possibilities:
1. Refrigerator is struggling to keep cool - maybe because of high outside temp, maybe bad seals, maybe other issues. Fan runs all the time because the back of the frig is hot.
2. Refrigerator is cooling ok, but fan runs all the time because there's poor ventilation on the back - maybe vents are blocked in some way.
3. Refrigerator is cooling ok, but fan runs all the time because it has a defective or improperly adjusted ventilation thermostat (that controls the fan).
4. Refrigerator is cooling ok, but fan runs all the time because Dometic did not include a thermostatic control on this model.

I'd suggest checking the manual or calling Dometic to ask about #4. If there is a thermostat controlling the fan, it may be covered under the Dometic warranty (which might be longer than 1 year)."

Freezer chest not cooling but Compressor is running

Unless you have a microfarad capacitor meter, you won't be able to check the capacitor. Make sure the evaporator fan motor is running. You may be low on refrigerant.

Unit not cooling down, compressor running, condenser fan running. suction line just cool, condenser line barely warm.

Check if evaporator fan is running. Is there any frost buildup on freezers evaporator cover? If so you have a defrost problem (bad heater, defrost thermostat, thermister, defrost timer or circuit board ). If no frost and the freezer is warm then you most likely have a sealed system problem(leak, restriction, bad compressor) which is costly to repair.

My refrigerator stopped cooling. But my frezzer still works.

check the fan that runs between the freezer and fridge section [usual access is from the freezer side] if fan not working check thermostat is set at coldest in fridge then check for power to fan if power check for blockage from ice, food.etc if clear check damper inside housing is open and working properly---the fridge is cooled down from the freezer via the fan

Check list:
fan motors all functioning
Cooling coils free and clean
Compressor cool to the touch
(compressor blazing hot bad relay)
Backside of freezer section frosting up
(bad defrost heater,thermostat,or timer)
Small line from compress is HOT
(cool high pressure line means low charge)
Suction line frosting up (overcharged)
