Question about Mitsubishi WS-65611 65" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Red is no longer showing.

Well basically happened last night and really showed itself today during teletubbies. lol go figure. Well it appears that the red lamp is no longer working.  Since the red teletubbie was grey and everything that is suposed to have a hint of red is now orange.   Is there a part that I ran purchase and replace it with or would it be in my best interest to purchase a new one?

Appreciate all the advice.  Thx.

Well if there is orange I would think you lost your green. My question is this point are all three tubes lit up. That would give me clue what direction to send you in.

Edwin, sounds like you might be having a problem with your Ballast. The Ballast is what fires up lamp. Typically if this is an older unit, when you replace the bulb, you will have to replace your ballast as well. It is harder to fire up a new bulb, then it is to fire up an old bulb. That's why you wouldn't notice the problem until you changed your bulb.

I turn on my Mitsubishi WD-73833 TV and it turns itself off

Lessing of brightness on a DLP set is a sign of imminent bulb failure.

A new bulb is in order.

My television is a PT-50DL54. i turn it on and it will stay on for about 20 seconds and then turn itsel***. The power button light will turn red and blink

my guess is either the lamp needs replacing or there is heating issues.....mine is doing it too and I find it more during the day than night.....after it cools off outside at night, it does not do it any more, but during day, even with a fan blowing on it, it does it about every 45 minutes or so....unplugging it completely and replugging it in again seems to help make it last longer...

There should be reset / resync instructions on back side of wireless keyboard. Basically, press reset button on keyboard, then press reset button on mouse. this should resyncronize both to PC.

Good Day;
Try this:

Symptom: All Front LED indicators are flashing in sequence: Power-->Temp-->Lamp-->Power......continuously
Cause: Replace Lamp . This symptom may happen all the time or it may be intermittent. It is normal if it occurrs from time to time, See OG under TV Front Indicators explanation notes.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

If you TV is about 2 1/2 yr you probably need a new lamp they only last about 3 yrs. Mine popped one night and now picture comes in for about 1 min and goes out, I ordered a new lamp today they run $199. There is also a know issue with the thermal fuse. The part cost about $3 and if you know a lil about electronic you can replace it yourself

Intermittant convergence alignment issues are quite common.
Either solder the convergence IC pins or better yet , change out
the IC's with first quality OEM spec or upgrade..............T.
