Do you mean the backup partition? Are you sure because it can be useful if you need to re-install your operating system in the future

REPLACING HP PAVILLION ELITE E210Y HARD DRIVE WITH 2 TB HARDDRIVE CAN i DO THIS?

Yes you can, for hard drives larger than 2TB you will need a 64 bit operational system like Windows 7, XP recognizes hard drives up to 2TB.

Hjow to reformat my hard drive for my hp m9150f

If you don't have multiple drives, the fastest way is to reinstall the OS. It will format the disc as part of the clean installation.

You need a Windows DVD -- Same version as you have -- Vista / Win 7, 32-bit / 64-bit.

A local PC repair should be able to burn you a copy for a small fee.

Bypass "step 1" and follow the instructions for "step 2".

My HP Pavillion Elite m9150f desktop (Vista Home

Hi,

You have nothing to worry about as this is normal operations. All the computer is doing is checking drives and reading any disks that maybe in the drive.
If there is no disk in the drive the LED indicator light will still come on but should resume Windows quicker.

Regards.

HP Pavillion laptop won't backup to optical drive...CD/DVD-RW; I do have 1 Click Copy (&Pro) installed as well as DVD43. I have tried to uninstall the DVD43 & 1 Click but it doesn't change...

HP Pavillion laptops and every others laptops do require CD/DVD recordable for backup not CD/DVD rewritable. Try to use a CD/DVD recordable to see what will happen first.

I have an HP Pavilion Elite m9150f desktop PC. I'm getting ''Boot Path error code BIOHD-5 Failed''.

Could be one of two things: either the BIOS has lost the settings for the hard drive, which is uncommon unless the PC is more than 5 years old or been electrically shocked, or the hard drive is going bad. hard drives usually only last about 3-5 years on average. Western Digital even less.

Boot Sector Error

Can you get it to boot without the BSOD? If the problem is intermittent, it's probably a flaky drive sector. If Windows will boot, you should be able to get Norton to make a good copy.

If it will no longer boot, the sector is probably corrupted. You can tell Norton to do a sector copy & ignore errors, but that may duplicate the problem.

You may want to try what's listed here:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927392

Look under /FixMBR. You could ghost it to another drive, then try that.
