My airconditioner is not heating up, its the first time we have had it on since sumer

no info generic answer should be filter needs cleaning or replaces --refer to owners manual --or online search for manual using make and model

Forget the "parens" and tell us what you mean by "show the gear system". Do you want to know how to shift the gears or how to fix them. Either way the manual will be of no help.

Because its an air conditioner, not a heater?

The blower section of the furnace will run with the A/C, but there should be no heating on at the same time.

The heater may not work because of a bad thermostat, low coolant, or a bad sensor at the engine. It can also be a bad resistor valve under the dash. The resistor valve is connected to a wire plug on the blower motor under the dashboard. It needs to be replaced. Th AC may need to be refilled with refrigerant or the compressor may be bad.

Your condensor fan motor has more than likely gone out. This fan should run at all times when the unit is on. Since the fan isn't working then the motor must have gone out.

its the air director/deflector motor and they get dirty and cant move air duct flap, most only move 90 degrees and any dirt seizes them
