I just bought a hitachi 32'' LED TV - 32HXC01U and I'm using HDMI to connect it to my MBP 13 Retina, but the resolution is really bad... In addition the screen of the tv is not filled, there is black space in all four sides which is simply not used. Any idea on what is the best resolution and how to fill all the tv screen?
SOURCE: need remote control code for 32" X2GEN tv
Good luck. I have the same issue. No codes are available for the X2Gen. To make matters worse, it appears to use a non-standard frequency for the carrier signal, maening that other remotes won't work with the TV.
I purchased a learning remote, thinking I would just "teach" it the codes directly from the X2Gen TV remote. This didn't work either.
There appears to be no way to use any remote other than the one supplied with the TV. Whatever you do, don't lose it!

Hi.
If your cable box is not HD you wont get resolution of 1080.
SOURCE: HDMI from laptop to DVI plug on Hitachi big screen TV
To fix it, just turn the set off, let it discharge for a few hours. Reach in and remove the socket from the back of the tube and reinsert a few times to break through the corrosion.
This is a sign of weakness in the manufacturer of the guns and the connecting sockets. The metal used in the pin connections inside the socket are corroding and when you remove the socket and reinsert it cuts through the corrosion and makes good
contact again.
If still not working contact the support for your television..
Hope that helps......

This is an ongoing problem with Mitsubishi DLP HDTV's contact the Customer Service at 1-800-332-211. Tell them this has been going on for a while and you want the TV either Fixed or Replaced. Ask for Adrianne Hardt, she is a Customer Service Manager...... TELL HER RICK GRIFFITH told you to call.
I am in the 4th week negociations with Mitsubishi over these exact problems. I purchased my 57" DLP HDTV in Aug of 06. Replaced the Lamp 3 times and have had 5 Service calls. I DO NOT have and extended Warranty. Mitsubishi provided me with the extention in writing and stated if any problem occurred again they would replace the Unit or provided monetary compensation.
Good Luck and be persistant.
