Does the lg rumor take a sim card

You have to make sure your contacts are saved on to your Sim card because if they were stored on the phone's memory they wont appear on your new phone when you switch the sim card over. Once you are on the phonebook you should be able to see a setting that says something like IMPORT contacts to sim card and then when you put it in the new phone you will hit IMPORT contacts to phone.

Yes you will just have to pay full price for the curve. The sim card slot on the lg Rumor is right behind the battery door which is also the battery. On the blackberry curve you will take the battery cover off then battery then you will see two slots to place a memory card and sim the rest is self explanatory...

Above is incorrect. Boost uses two different networks each is different technology. The one using SIM cards is the IDEN network (Nextel). The other is Sprint (who owns Boost) and that does not take a SIM, it's a CDMA network. All Sprint phones can work on this network,but you must get Boost to activate the phone. They won't do this unless you are already a customer and tell them you are replacing a broken phone, then give the Sprint phone ESN# (under battery) for them to log in your account. If you have a Sprint LG Rumor it will then work without unlocking or flashing, no changes necessary.

Make sure you have sim card from network your phone is locked to. You need it to be able to type the unlock code.

The LG Rumor is a Sprint CDMA device. This means that it is activated on a network using the Electronis Serial Number programmed into the device. Once the device is powered up, it registers to the network and if that ESN doesnt match an active acct, then no service, and you may get a message asking you to activate your device. Sim cards are only in GSM devices (not including nextel and a few devices that have been dubbed world phones, allowing them to work on both CDMA and GSM services.)

So, all this was to explain simply that you can never put a sim card in a LG Rumor. There is nowhere for it to go. SRY!!!!!

Go to any cell phone shop and ask for the sim card of any company available at your side (vodafone. optus, hutch, virgin etc) but be sure your phone is not locked to any provider.
