Camcorder not working off battery

did you check the battery terminal? maybe it more stain! clean the battery terminal first!. did you notice the standby power light?

So is the battery new, or is a new camera altogether? Since you say it no longer works, but the battery is new, makes me think that you purchased a new battery for the camera? I would take the battery back to the store and tell them to replace it, since it's new. There's not much you can do to fix this, other than replace the battery. This kind of thing does happen even with new batteries.

With My JVC GY HD 110U the batteries wouldn't work because of a small yellow plastic tip from the power adaptor breaking within. I saw that someone else had the same problem and disassembled the camera in order to remove it. Instead, I chose to heat a safety pin and melted it into the ring. After cooling for a couple of minutes I was able to pull it out. It's a surgical procedure and you need to be careful not to melt the camera body. You can rest the needle along the center pin on the way down. You'll need pliers, needle and flame.

get rubbing alcohol and q-tip and clean the connecting contact. this solved my battery/no power problems on dcr-hc28 dv cam.

Is there a place to download a complete manual for the Everio GZ-MG13ou. I cannot find the one the came with the camcorder.
