When we run speed wash (not sure of other cycles) just before the spin cycle the washer keeps letting in cold water through the detergent tray. It does not overflow but only stops when I turn the cold water off. The timer stops at about 8 minutes, and freezes. I suspect the water inlet valve, but wondering if the timer could cause this?
If it fails to stop running only at the rinse part of the cycle it is probably in the timer as the solenoid valve has to cut the water off when the washer fills for the wash cycle too. fills for wash cycle and cuts off water, washes and drains, refills for rinse cycle and water just keeps running? does this every time you run it? that's in the timer. bad solenoid (water inlet valve) would keep running even on wash fill up. hope this helps.

FE means water is overflowing. Check pump filter. Check water level switch and hose. Also check that drain hose isn't too low causing it to refill itself continuously. In any case the drain pump should run for 4 minutes to try and eliminate the extra fill
SOURCE: No hot water entering
1. Make sure water comes out of the hot water hose into a bucket.
2. Check to make sure the solenoid valve is working. The buzzing is the 60Hz on the coil and can make a lot of noise if valve does not operate properly. Try blowing into the hot water port. If the solenoid is functioning properly air will move freely, if not its stuck.

The heavy jacket prevented the washer from spinning at a rapid pace, so I added a heavy bathrobe to absorb some of the water and to balance the load. The washer then spun very quickly and drained out all the water.

IE:
• Water supply is not adequate in
area.
• Water supply taps are not
completely open.
• Water inlet hose is bent.
• The filter of the inlet hose clogged.
Solution:
Check another tap in the house.
Fully open tap.
Straighten hose.
Check the filter of the inlet hose.
UE:
• Load is too small.
• Load is out of balance.
• The appliance has an imbalance
detection and correction system. If
individual heavy articles are loaded
(bath mat, bath robe, etc.) and the
imbalance is too great, after several
attempts to restart the spin cycle the
machine will stop and the error code
will be displayed.
Solution:
Add 1 or 2 similar items to help
balance the load.
Rearrange load to allow proper
spinning.

I have the same problem and sometimes water stays in the detergent tray as well. I don't have a solution other than to remove the whole tray and drain in the sink after each cycle.
