We have an RCA Model # HD52W58. We came home after camping over the weekend and the picture was not working on the TV. The volume works but the picture does not. After a few seconds, the green power button would flash and the TV shuts off. Looking through the grate in the back of the TV while turning the power on, we noticed some sparking in the back at the bottom near the flat circuit board. Any ideas of what it would take to fix this problem?
Maybe there is a lizard inside, open the back cover then remove the PCB. re solder the damaged area and clean it with an electronic spray cleaner. check for cold solder component leads and re solder it.

I took of the back panel and I found a capacitor (I think that is what it is called) at the front of the circuit board that was burnt and split in half? I can't get the complete number above it.
Is this something I can replace or do I need the whole board that it was attached to?? And do you have any idea what I might be looking at cost-wise?
