I wouldn't recommend that. Not if you enjoy the ride. If it's leaking already... it could just get worse along the way and burn the motor up. So have your mechanic check it and fix it. Even if it takes a bit.. it will be worth the wait.
the belt drives the alternator, not leaking poss, a/c pump poss leak but not likely, bottom pulley crank drive leak likely oil level wont show as leak is small but messy, water pump may not leak but allthough its turning it may not be working will over heat if this is the case , cam leak possible same a crank makes a mess but wont show on oil level , power steering pump leak likely will show in the fluid resovoir as is only a small reservoir, hope this helps , a good way to see where leak is fro is to clean off the area and then check soon after to see where leak starts from keep me posted if you wish
What codes did you pull up? P0442 small leak, p0455 big leak. I have experienced the same problems. It's usually rubber hose deterioration. Cracked ends, rubbed thru in the middle, or ripped hoses. If you take it to the repairmen it's labor of replacing hoses and smoking the system. You can do it yourself if you want , it's just time consuming. If you've done the job already you will be ok. If you want me to walk you thru this simple fix, please get back to me, I will be more then happy to help. GOOD LUCK.
kickermassen, It sounds like you have a heater core leak and this is why there is a leak from the right wheel well. This is generally the area that the drain tube for the airbox is located. Yes it is safe to drive provided that you keep an eye on the level of the coolant on a daily basis. Also, being that it is a small leak and happening only when the truck is running, watching the level is very important. No, driving any slower will not slow down the progression of the leak, it will only get worse with time. So do the repair as soon as you can and you should not have any engine damage. Good luck with this.
Had sam eproblem. Gerage after gerage did not help at all. Stand infront of your car with bonnet open. On the lef hand side (standing infront of the car) between boddy an engine is a round black container, next to it is a small vacume switch, check the thin rubber pipes is conected, it can have a leak or like mine broke off. after fixing it my problem were solved. Ideling were up and down must be leaking vacume pipe. never bypass. if pipes is ok check and test vacume switch. Kia ideling is controlled by this small vacume switch !!!!! What a great car. Enjoy !!!! Please inform me if it did work. my e mail is [email protected].
The heater core could be leaking. Have you checked for leaks on the floor area or it is low on coolant. If no leaks, then could have an air lock. Then you will have to bleed the system from the heater hose on the engine side.
Dismantle the phone and check the ribbon cable connecting the mainboard to the screen, if still no picture then you VGA chip is bust and you'll need a new mainboard or phone! hope this helps!
Well to the risk or sounding stupid, did you make sure that your CAPS LOCK is off? It happened to me before, so before thinking the worst, just try that.
