Ethernet controller missing hp compaq dx2200

That's probably why you've 2 network cards on your computer. Check is it's so, then connect your cable to the other connector and your network connection will work.
You can see in the control panel under network connection if you have to connection.
The card with the yellow question mark need drivers. For that check that on the vendor website.

connect your corby mate mobile using your usb connection

click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question mark?

right click to reinstall drivers

it might be listed as a mass storage device

if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports(com&lpt)right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems for a computer and its parts

I've reformated my computer and i can't see my original cd so i've used another cd now i can't connect to the internet, what should i do?

You cant just use another CD from a different device to install your drivers/software. The issue is that you do not have your ethernet card drivers installed and probably many other drivers as well.

A simple solution to this is on another computer go to the support page of the manufacture of your device.

From there they will request your units make/model. You then select your operating system and download the latest drivers one by one.

To see what drivers you need (on the internet that youve reformatted) go to control panel / hardware and sound / add/remove device and anything with a yellow ? next to it is an unknown device because the drivers are not installed. Next to each yellow ? will be a brief description thats very generic of what the device is, simply go down the list on the manufacture's support page and download each device one by one.

Either burn the files to a disc or you can use a small thumb drive to transfer them to the other non working unit.

I had to reinstall windows xp. Now I cannot connect to the internet.

Make sure the driver of the Ethernet Card on your computer is installed. You check it under Device Manager

Right-click My Computer > Properties > Hardware Tab > Device Manager > Network Adapters (click the +). If you see Other Devices with yellow exclamations like Ethernet Controller, that's it. You need to run the Motherboard CD to automatically install the ethernet driver.
