My vaccuum was fine for a few years then all of a sudden it will just stop working. If I try a few hours or a day later it is fine. Now my brush will not spin. I cleaned all the strings, etc.... from the brush and looked at the belt. The vaccuum does not make weird noises or do anything out of the ordianry.
Hi there'
common possible defective is that motor is not functioning, several factors can be check if you have a knowledge on electrical and motor
circuit you can easily diagnose your problem on your vacuum.
check the switch by your multi tester,if there is a continuinity resistance using multi tester.if no continuity replaced switch
check the carbon brush of the motor if worn out, replace two pcs. of carbon mounted inside the motor casing
you can check also the continuity of electrical cord and plug.replace if if plug and electrical cord is defective.
finally the motor has winding coil,at both end of coil of motor check the continuity, there are two coils of the motor.if burn out replace motor w/ two pcs. of carbon brush.
besure to unplug the vacuum before doing
this and this should be done by qualified technician on your service center.have a nice day.rate my fix.thank's a lot
It sounds as if you need to change the belt. As you run the upright, the belt warms up and stretches. It will then cool down after you shut it off, therefore shrinking back down. This would explain why it works when you first fire it back up.
