I had the following symptom: No power on, or only sporadic power on, power-on light blinking, etc. Problem was: Capacitor C202 & C203 (both 1000 uF, 16V) on the PS board had lost capacity, tested only approx 45 uF. Replaced, everything works fine now! Cost: 20 cent.
ok right click anywhere on the screen go to the bottom and click properties now there will be a couple of tabs at the tom desktop screen saver you want settings raise your resolution to about 1200 x800 or higher i think native for that is the 1680x1240 this should fix your problem
If it USB (square ended), then try another slot, it if it PS2 ( round End) try another mouse, but I would pick a USB Optical mouse to save a another trip to the store,,,
