SOURCE: i have 2 kicker l7 12 dual voice coil subs.. i

it all depends on the impendance of your subs if u have duel 4ohm or duel 2ohm, 2 duel 4ohm speakers can be wired at 1ohm to the amp, and with a kx1200.1 that would be pushin 2400 peak and 1200rms
if ya have 2 duel 2ohm speaker than you can only wire them to 2ohm and would be pushing 1200 peak and 600 rms with the kx1200, so if you have the duel 4ohm i would go with the kx1200.1 and if u have the duel 2ohm i would go with the hifoncs

SOURCE: MY KICKER ZX 750.1channel amp "FLIP FLOPS" from

Are you getting any sound output at all from amplifier?
Is there a popping or banging coming from speaker?
It could possibly be a faulty output mosfet that is ocillating cause DC to leak onto the speaker output causing it to flip into protect.
please advise
thanks,ben

Hi, I currently have the following Kicker Amp's.\r...

it depends, sometimes if your speaker is wired, if you have two dual 2 ohm subs and wire them in series ( +to+ -to- ) then they will wire down to .5 ohms, in which your amp is not stable other possible problems may occur if you wire these amps together to power one or two subs

I want a reliable system.

if you bought that equipment today then your answer is yes your amp will power the subs but if i was you and you want more bass I would go with a two channel amp or even a mono block amp that will be 1 ohm stable and if you decide to do that you might want to get subs that are dual 4 ohm voice coils and run them in series that will get you 1 ohm of resistance

Zx-8100 amplifier is red lighting.

try wiring them differently. here is a link for u to go to http://www.crutchfield.com/learn/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html . once there find your amp configuration (ie. mono, or 2 channel) then down to the type of subs an how many subs ( ie. 2 dvc (dual voice coil) 4 ohm subs) an that will show u how the subs should be wired and wired to the amp.

I have 1500 kicker amp and 2 15L7 4oh want to hook up

you can't get full power out of it because those subs can be wired series/parrallel to a 1 ohm load or just series to a 4 ohm load and you don't want to put a 1 ohm load on this amp... you need dual 2 ohm subs for this amp... I have the same setup but with dual 2 ohm subs and it is rediculous... you need to buy different subs that are dual 2 ohm or buy an amp that is stable at 1 ohm... you will only get 750 rms out of a kicker 1500.1 at 4 ohms so u will do more harm than good to your subs.

Wiring my 2 L7 with a kicker 1000times1

Run the subs in series then bridge the amp. So run the normal + to - to the one sub then hook up a spare wire (not connected to the amp) to the same + and - connections. Then run the spare wire to the + and - of the other sub. This will tie the 2 together so you can bridge the ampfor more power instead of using 2 seperate channels.

Wiring

provided that the memphis studio series is still 1 ohm stable you would wire each coil of each speaker like this : posive to positive negative to negetive on the speaker using 2 jumper wires then run 1 coil from each subs positive and negative the input on the amp that amp would see a 1 ohm load from both speakers as each speaker would become a 2 ohm load. from experience, memphis does not make an amplifier that is brutal enough on power for L7 15" solos, i have the st 1600 d amp running only 2 dual 4 ohm 10 L5's and it is barely enough power for them. For less money than your 2 subs cost retail I can get you brand new matching 2000 watt true competition rated and proven 1 ohm power and 2 subs that would physically fit in your current box, i would however recommend a very very large box for 2 15" squares. you can email me at [email protected] , my advice and system designs are always free even if you do not buy thru me. I am usually 1/3 to 1/2 what retail is with full warranties and i can drop ship anywhere in the U.S.A.
