Old Moen shower diverter

I have a one handle Moen shower with a push button diverter that is under the handle. The push button totally broke off (has a jagged end) It shot out of the face plate while taking a shower and water shoots out of the hole. I tried to fix this by putting in a tub diverter spout, it does briefly divert the water to the shower head, then the old push button shoots out again along with water. Is there a way I can just plug the hole?

You will have to replace the shower diverter button. Remove the handle, remove the faceplate, and the diverter will screw out. Any plumbing supply that carries Moen products will have a replacement button for your valve

If you are handy, the best solution is to call delta and have them send you a new diverter. They will need the model of your faucet. The new diverter will come with instructions on the install process. As far as fixing it without the new diverter, I don't believe you will be able to.

No hoy water coming out on Moen shower faucet?

If you have hot water elswhere in the bathroom but not the shower head then the diverter valve in the handle for the tub is most likely bad and needs replaced. The diverter is also called an anti scauld valve, it mixes the hot and cold water to prevent scaulding you in the shower

We have installed a moen 82490 one handle tub & shower unit. When we turn on the water you could shower and bath at the same time. If you pull the plug for just a shower the water to the spout stops...

If you pull the silver knob on the tub spout up, the diverter located located inside will redirect water up to the shower head and when lowered it will return the water to the tub spout. It sounds as thought the diverter is not working properly. Hope this helps..

I have a moen 1 knob push-pull faucet for my tub/shower. When I push it in sometimes water continues to drip. It is probably 30 years old. Are their replacement parts for it?

The old MOEN single handle faucets like youve described usualy took a 1200 or 1225 cartridge. Both are available at most of your big home improvement stores. The answer to your question is yes MOEN parts are still avail. Hope this helps. If this advise is helpful, please give me a vote.

Moen shower valves are failing

the diverter is stuck. you have to move it up and down to free it up. the diverter is the mechanism attached to the tub spout that switches the water from shower to tub. you may also need a new diverter if fiddling with it doesn't work.
