Well, I have the GE front load washer, model WBVH6240. I've got a marble stuck between the drum and the housing of the drum. It doesn't seem to be causing any damage, yet. Just makes a LOT of noise, so we...
I being a previous repairman, would not suggest to go ahead with it, the drum is a tough thing to work with and even I woud sooner live with the noise than go get it out,the drum is supported by a rear bearing that should not be effected by a marble,< best advice for you to try is unplug unit and tip forward until drum is level, with door open and shake drum to try to get it to fall into drain hose> if marble moves freely between drum and tub this will work,< the drain has a catch to prevent it from getting to pump. If you succeed at this then remove lower panel below door and there is a removable cap on drain to clean it out, remove cap< twisting it > and retreive marble. if marble doesn't move freely damage to unit may happen due to constricting movement of drum,< call repairman because it will require complete disassembly of the unit and not inexpensive either.
