have you considered a basic motor system that causes led lights on a conveyor with a cell to shine.

Hi Shawn , the first thing I would check is the wheels and tracks for there straightness and alignment, & to just to make sure there's no debris in track but mostly to ensure all the wheels are greased and moving freely not only at the bearing

But in the shaft as well
The next suspect is the tension springs over head
Door down = tight spring
Door up. = loose spring

Caution; these are very strong and very dangerous ; Caution

these springs are assisting, to make the door feel weightless to the opener. If you are handy with tools then you can make a very minor adjustment (+or-) to these springs which will adjust your door movement speed to fine tune theses springs. I am assuming you have these types of springs,

take away the globe from the top magnet, then use your two hands to hold the globe, gradually close to the top magnet, pls note the floating distance is about 2cm, when you feel the balance, release your hands gently, finally, you succeed in floating it well. Congratulations!

for laptop keyboard, you'll need to replace the whole thing, the main reason behind it is if a customer needs to replace a single key then the company would just ship a practically weightless peice of plastic were shipping would cost more than the actual part. Also in company invetory of parts there are no part numbers for every key on the keyboard, it needs to be a kit. So that's why they would replace the keyboard for you.
