Missing top bracket on order from home depot and they said it will take 2 weeks to get a missing top bracket form Mexico(Bali order) how do we get a top bracket to match the 3 shipped.
Missing a top bracket to attach the blind rail to the wall. How do we get another bracket now and not wait 2 weeks for part from Mexico.
Re: missing top bracket on order from home depot and they...
You might be able to find some online. I would also try some local stores for a replacement part. You might not get exact, but you could probably get close if you bring one of the top brackets with you.

First, remove the hood and tool compartment covers. At each corner of the cover, by the cord retract button, is a screw. Remove these two screws. Pull the button off. It is difficult to remove but just keep pulling until it's out. Under the button there are 2 more screws. Remove these and you can take off the cover to expose the cord reel. There are 2 screws on the back of the bracket that hold the reel onto the bracket. Good luck.
Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

hello fm... if you are looking to purchase a 24" crevice tool you can check home depot and lowes. Just be sure to measure the end of your hose where u need to slide it on. Also, you can go to this link to order by phone
This belt isn't available at your normal retail stores like Walmart or Home Depot. You can try your local vacuum repair shop, but not all vacuum shops carry Dyson parts. The best bet is online. You can get this belt here at this link and shipping is only $1.99. That might be worth it rather than driving all over trying to find that belt.
There is a hinged bracket for this unit which has a 5" bolt through it. It comes from CanaVac who manufactures under label. If you cannot find this large U shaped bracket on the body or in the bucket, either return to COSTO or call Canavac and explain. A used bracket from an old Canavac will fit, nothing else will. If Costco is sold out you will not likely get one through a Hoover service center since they just don't break and it is a newer body style for Hoover made under private label.. A Canavac dealer might have one around FYI if you got this unit at $200 off you got good value, if you paid full price and need to wait for a bracket, shop around for a different brand. While the unit and tools are good , the Hoover power head is the Achilles heal on this package. If you use it more than an hour a week , you will wear it out within 3-5 years as it is their light duty head. If you have the bracket , hang the unit on a double stud if possible or 3/4 plywood braced across two studs. Leave 24-36 inches slack in your low voltage wire at the motor and coil around a pencil or long philips screwdriver, making it phone cord style... your wife and neighbors will think you are a pro...... Post back if you need more info.
I had the same problem. I ordered a new switch from a local appliance
place part#417915 (also try 54542), but it can be found on-line for
~$2+shipping. There are 11 screws to remove. Remove all nine screws
that hold on the back of the handle (be sure and get the two under the
attachment holder). Remove the two screw from the front that hold the
top dirt canister retaining bracket. Once you have the back of the
handle off, you can remove the single screw at the top of the handle
that holds on the top front where the switch is. The front will then
'snap' off. The wires are soldered to the switch, and there is
absolutely no slack in the wires, so I don't recommend that you cut
them. Be very careful with the new switch, since the tabs on back can
break off very easily if bent too much (speaking from experience). You
might also want to order, and keep and extra switch, around for the
next time you need to replace it (it will wear out again). Instead
of soldering the wires to the switch you might want to try using some
push on female spade connectors (small), but be sure they are
insulated. This will make the next replacement much easier.
