Driver doesnt read disks or even work

try removing the hardware and replacing it with a new one

ITS PRBLEM WITH URS CAMCODER INSIDE READING LENS ,,

SOMETIMES NEW CDS HAVE SOME TRACK READING PROBLEM,
CHECK IT WITH AGAIN A NEW CD.

OR

CLEAN LENS WITH CLEANING SOLUTION OF CAMCODER,

IF BOTH DOESNT WORK ITS PROBLEM WITH URS CAMCODER LENS..

Hi,
the disk does not work on vista.
Lot of users reported they found a working driver for the minicam pro 98067
SN9C103 driver

Even if it's also for other cameras it seem to work perfectly for the MiniCam.

This is common problem. It happens alot with today's parts.
You can get a good deal on cd/dvd roms and burner at newegg.com or amazon.com

You can always try and clean the laser lens with rubbing alcohol and cotton swab. If cleaning doesn't work, Make sure you have your drivers up to date for your device and that the device is enabled in device manager.
If everthing is good and rom drive still won't read, then buy new rom drive

the laser is proberley not working.

Go to radio shack and get a cd lens cleaner kit.

It is a usual problem with acer webcameras.
DO this..
1) Rollback any update for camera driver or application ...if dat doesnt work
2) Recover system to its Manfacturer settings
using the Recovery Disk Supplied By the manufacturer.If your computer was not ship with recovery CDS....Use acer recovery Manger to creat the recovery CDS. or Use the recovery manager to rocerver without using CDS its somewere in your all programs Menu.
3) if that doesnt work consider buyin external Camera.

i havent tried anything other than games on mine, but it doesnt read those so i'll assume it's not reading anything else...i have a 40gb one. and it was working fine yesterday..

I think ur laptop webcam driver not installed properly.If ur laptop have windows vista operating system then do these steps.
Goto Start - Programs - Recovery Manager - Recovery Manager.In that recovery manager,click on next.Its shows the Software reinstallation page.Click on next button two times.Its shows the software lists.Select the webcam software and click on next button.After reinstallation completed , u restart laptop and check it.
If ur laptop have windows XP operating system then u uninstall the webcam software through Add/Remove program and restart it.After restarting ,Reinstall the web cam software and check it. If u doesnt have webcam drivers then u go for nearest service centre and install it.
