Is it possible to get a new cord for one?

Of course it's possible. Google (make/model) replacement power cord, or take the old cord (or a picture of the old cord including the plug) to a hardware, Home Depot, Lowes, or appliance parts store.)

Maytag dryer PYE2300AYW will not start

Hi, It sounds like the fuse inside the fryer might be bad. Here is a picture of the fuse.

20f01c3.gif To locate this fuse, insert a flat blade between the top and the front panel. There are 2 spring clips that will release the top. The heater and fuse are on the top rear of the drum. The fuse you willneed to test is #5 in the picture. If the fuse shows an open circuit, it will need replaced.
Please let me know if this helps you or if I can assist you further.

Sears kenmore dryer wont run (Electric)

Sounds like the motor relay and/or the even heat board. Remove endcaps from console and remove 2 screws in corner. Pull console torwards you and up and it will flip up. The board is on the left and there are 2 relays on the right. The only difference is one has big red wires and the other has smaller blue ones. Blue wires are motor relay. Possibility of door switch also broken off.

Gas Dryer Sometimes Buzzes when burner comes on

Ok George! Nice work.
The 2 black coils with insulated terminal connections are the ones you need to replace and that should stop your humming noise. The unit on the left side of flame shroud is the flame sensor. This controls the glow bar function. The item at position
1 o'clock on the flame shroud is your Hi-Limit thermostat. This protects the dryer from an overheating/fire scenario. I can't tell from the picture but there should also be a thermal fuse by the Hi-Limit t'stat. This is in place just in case the Hi-Limit fails to open in an overhat scenario. The Glow Bar is mounted up at the end of the the and to the left of the venturi, (flame tube).

Hope this helps you find your way around your dryer a little easier.

Maytag Atlantis Electric Dryer

Fly, sounds like you blew the thermal fuse. This is located on the front blower. You will need to remove door by removing the two screws and lifting up on the hinge. Remove the 2 spacers on the other side of the door. Now the panel will pull out and the blower will be exposed. The fuse will look like the one on the right of the attached back.
