The first thing I would look at is the two solenoids on back of refrigerator. Each of the two have 2 wires. Switch the two sets of the two and then try the water dispenser. If the dispenser then don't work the ice maker should begin filling. If this happens you will need to purchase a new duel solenoid for that fridge. Hope this helps, Sea Breeze

Will not dispense ice

commonly what you will find on that model is the main control board on the back of the unit is the source of your issue, it begins like a computer virus where the unit will render the water in the door feature useless, next goes the ice delivery sys, then the unit does not defrost properly causing cooling issues. But before running out and getting a new control board go by this check list first: 1) make sure your ice bucket is properly seeded, 2) make sure the ice in the bottom of the bucket is not melted together if so empty good ice in seperate container and put back in freezer quickly to avoid melting then run hot water in ice bucket to melt remaining bad ice afterwards completely dry ice bucket and put good ice back in and see if it works properly, 3) make sure the auger mtr is not seized due to door being left open and humidity freezing in mtr gear.

I have a GE Profile refrigerator, Model PFSS6PKWBSS, with icemaker on door. Water is collecting under Deli-draw and leaking down freezer door onto floor. How do I fix leak?

Try and access the ice dispenser assembly and check from where the water is leaking. You would need to disassemble the ice dispenser and ice maker to check this. The ice dispenser is located in the upper portion of the freezer compartment. This assembly stores ice made by the icemaker and dispenses ice on demand from the door dispenser target switch.
1. Remove the upper ice bucket tray.
2. Slide out the ice dispenser assembly.
3. Remove the ice cube solenoid linkage Phillips head screw and slide the linkage back.
4. Remove the ice crusher cover Phillips head screws (2) and remove the cover.
5. With a pair of pliers, twist off the backing plate tabs located on either side of the crusher.
6. With 2 small flat-blade screwdrivers, unlock the ice crusher locking tabs located at either side of the ice crusher.
7. Lift the ice crusher out of the bucket.
8. Remove the ice crusher back cover.
9. Remove the locking ring from the ice crusher auger.
10. Remove the plastic nut with a pair of pliers by turning it clockwise.
11. Remove the spacers and blades. The blades are numbered for reassembly.

The icemaker is located in the upper rear of the freezer compartment and supplies ice to the dispenser tub.
1. Disconnect the icemaker cable connector.
2. Remove 1/4-in. icemaker mounting screws and slide out the icemaker.
This refrigerator is equipped with an Electronic Icemaker.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

When I choose either cubes or crushed on my icemaker, my unit only crushes the ice. I already had the water inlet control valve replaced and there are plenty of cubes in the bin. It is a dispensing issue...

this manufacture makes 2 seperate style ice buckets one in the door and one in freezer with a large ice bucket and auger screw that turns... first we will explain the one up on a shelf in freezer side up top... if you pull your ice bucket completely out of freezer... there should be a small bar coming out of rear toward bottom of ice bucket assembly now put it back in where you got it but this time watch where the rod goes... there is a solenoid in the rear of freezer actually called cube/crush solenoid and what this does is if switched to crush will raise that rod and activate the teeth in bucket to crush ice... if not will let ice fall out in whole piece...this solenoid sometimes gets hung or will freeze ...make sure with your finger you can move it freely and then watch it with some assistant pushing the switch for you does it go up when the handle is hit... the ice bucket in door works the same way except the componets are in the door and a little harder to access... repost with any questions if this doen not help you out...good luck to you

Can't get ice bucket back into place to make ice...what are we doing wrong.

First, turn the icemaker off by raising the wire "bar" that is attached to the icemaker until it clicks into the raised position.

Second, if your freezer has an ice dispenser system, make note of the position of the drive gear at the back of the freezer. It will have two prongs that will need to mate with the icemaker bucket. If they aren't lined up with the icemaker bucket auger, then turn the auger by hand until it will line up with the prongs.

Finally, check for a stray ice cube resting inside the freezer, either on the back wall or on the side rails where the bucket rests.

My ice maker makes plenty of ice, no problem with the water either. My problem is that the auger will not turn to dispense the ice out of the bin. The motor kicks on when you push in the buttom, however it...

Pull the ice bucket out, then hold in on the door light switches and while you push a glass into the button for ice (may require two people). Ice dispenser and auger will only work, when you push for ice, when the freezer door is closed, so by holding the light switch(s) in the off position with door open you can simulate door being closed. If you can push the button and see the auger drive turn (with ice bucket out) then check to see if you have some ice stuck between the blades on the bucket, if the auger motor doesn't turn, it may be "ice frozen". Common problem. Remove motor, let sit on counter for about three hours and then reinstall, if it then works then check for water dripping from the fill tube, where the water comes into freezer for the ice maker, and see if it is dripping onto auger motor.

If you put auger motor back in and it still won't turn then more and likely you need an auger motor.

Let me know.

Icemaker makes Ice But doesn't dispense it.

Had same problem. Looked everywhere and found no solution i'm a not a repairman...they probably do not want to post so they can make 150 for a repair visit. At least try this first it may save you $$. Remove ice bucket from freezer. Remove 2 screws @ auger...remove cover and auger ....remove spring and large hex shaped shaft. heat the large shaft end with a torch and put it back in hot side toward motor until the motor end is not frozen. No torch you can use hot water...but that may freeze again.

This was happing because my flap to the ice was not closing all the way .

Manual for parts can be found here it shows ice maker parts on page 7.

Good Luck Kono

Ice maker makes ice but can't dispense ice

Please try this. Remove your Removable Ice Bucket Assembly which is where the Auger (corkscrew) is located. You should be able to see the Auger Motor Drive Fork which is located permanently inside the freezer compartment... opposite the end of the Removable Ice Bucket Assembly that you just took out. Close the freezer door and attempt to dispense ice... if you can hear the Auger Motor running as you attempt to dispense ice... then the Auger Motor is OK. Dump out all the ice that is in your Removable Ice Bucket Assembly and wash it out in your kitchen sink with warm water. Reach into your freezer and put your hand on the Auger Motor Drive Fork ... you should be able to rotate it CW or is a little hard to turn but it will turn. Position the Auger Motor Fork to a 12:00 and 6:00 o'clock position. Now take your Removable Ice Bucket Assembly and position its Receiver Auger Fork to a 9:00 and 3:00 o'clock ....Re install the Removable Ice Bucket Assembly into the Auger Drive Fork. Close the freezer door and again attempt operate the ice dispenser... you should hear the Auger Motor again run as you press the ice dispenser. this same time the Ice Chute Door in the Freezer Door should spring open so that ice can fall out. Of course you have no ice in the Auger at this time...but it all this works then future production of ice will fall out. Note...Usually the Auger Motor never fails. but the whole thing can get jammed with ice and not dispense. Also, the the solenoid that operates the Ice Chute Door fails quite frequently. Last but not least... if nothing is happening... it is a control board type problem. Hopes this helps! Handy Henry

The icemaker makes ice, but it won't dispense.

rmielsen and PhyllisForbe,  Your refrigerator has an auger motor that causes the ice to be dispensed when you press the ice selector on the front of the refrigerator.  You could have several possible problems that will gives you the same result.  The auger motor could be at fault. The ICE selector part of the  control panel of the front of the refrig could be at fault.  To isolate to auger or control... do the following.  Remove the ice bucket or auger assembly from the freezer. Reach into the freezer compartment where the auger assembly normally would be.  You should be able to see a "horse shoe shaped metal drive assembly" that would mesh with the auger assembly (ice bucket) to turn the cork screw shaped auger. Try and turn the auger drive assembly in rear of freezer to determine if motor armature is free.  The is somewhat difficult to do because the auger motor is high torque, slow rpm motor, but it should turn if it is good. Sometimes the auger motor will become stuck due to a water leak, inactivity, high humidity during a defrost cycle, etc.  The more possible suspect is the ICE selector assembly on the front of the refrigerator.  If any function on the refrig fountain dispenser control panel goes bad...then the ice/water control assembly will need to be replaced.  Hopes this helps you!  HandyHenry
