Shredded 5 or 6 credit cards, one at a time. Will not shred anything now. Can go in reverse, but not forward. Unplugged it and looked underneath, can't get anything to move - not sure what to do now.
Looked for Infoguard website, found this site. Any suggestions? Can't find instruction book, was hoping to download from Infoguard website.
-   I have the same problem with mine. It will go in reverse, but not work in the forward position. I could hear that the motor was spinning though, when engaged in the forward shredding position. After disassembling the unit, I discovered that the first plastic gear (running directly off the motor shaft) is worn flat about a quarter of the way around the gear. Have not had any luck finding a replacement as of yet, but will post if I do.

-   Definely a gear problem, The pin/axle that holds the gear together has snapped off, probably beside the plastic gear. Looking for a replacement gear now.-   Guest

-   My shredder runs and the paper passes through but does not shred. Before this I had a problem with the shredder running and did not stop unless I pulled the plug-   peggylgb
I personally work with Fellowes brand shredders, but it sounds like you have a paper feed sensor issue. This may be a mechanical or electronic sensor located in the center of the paper feed slot. If it is electronic it may just need cleaning(qtip dipped in rubbing alchohol. If it is a mechanical sensor check to make sure it has not been broken or it may be stuck because of paper that has become wedged behind it(you may need to jiggle the switch a few times to free it). If none of this works you may have a burned out switch or a bad pc board, contact manufacturer for more info.
