It will not go into the test mode - does not show c00 The start button works, as there is a relay sound (but not door lock) when I have the unit on spin/drain, no spin settings. The door latch feels normal. Holding endofcycle sound for 15 does lock / unlock the panel, but still no wash start. I have unplugged, but that did not clear the issue. Ideas?
Check the door interlock on the washing machine. If it's faulty, the machine won't start its cycle. This page will give you an idea of what interlocks look like.
Door Interlocks
Testimonial: "Thank you for the service manual! The link did not work, but I was able to find the same, and why I had not thought of that, I don't know. I have not tested the door switch yet, but this is the info I needed to see what was up. Thank you!"
Thanks Peter. Is there an easy way to test this unit before just replacing it? Seems the unit should throw an error code! But I do not see one... Perhaps because the unit just thinks the door is not closed... specifically, is there a way to short out the leads to prove the unit the cause?

Hi darrylhosfor - I've located a service manual for the GHW9200L. You can download it here: http://bit.ly/1mxLME See page 5-3/4 for information about Door Solenoids and Door Lock Switches; also see 6-2 for Door Locking and Unlocking logic (and much more, including error codes & resistance measurements to expect).
There are also panel interlock switches, so you need to refit or bypass these so the machine will operate.
Here's the flow chart for the Won't Start Cycle: 1. Open and close the door. The door has to be opened between consecutive wash cycles. 2. Check the door switch/lock unit using the diagnostics. 3. If Door is Locked, Drain the Unit. 4. Check the wire harness connections. 5. Check the touch-pad/LED assembly.
Sorry about the fragmented reply but I hadn't realised you can't publish all-caps (eg in a heading).
Glad to help! Here's the correct url to download a service manual for the GHW9200LW: http://bit.ly/1jSgOBC

SOURCE: Duet Front load Washer - will not start cycle.
Does your front washer, every time you press cancel give you a code that looks similiar to ER?
I checked the description and for some reason whirlpool denies having a F22 code on the Duet, but that doesn't mean much.
I am suspecting several things.
1. Electrical supply may have had a surge at one point or another. You may have to ask your electrical company to put a surge protector on your house by the meter. This is not to protect everything it has its own limits!
2. Unplug the machine for a while. Turn off the water supply and disconnect hoses The machine knows if there is water coming into the machine by a trip sensor.
3. drain out your exhaust line. There is a possiblity your machine thinks you are full of water when it is actually empty.
4 put everything back on, and then plug machine back in after about an hour or so. If it still doesn't work, it is time for your local appliance repair service technician to come out. He will check door trip sensor, and a few other areas that may be acting up.
Good luck.

Plug off the wall. Open up behind, you will see a thin tube coming down from the control panel (pressure switch to be precise) to the waste area below. Disconnect this carefully from the top, blow into it, air should pass thru, it shd not be clogged; refit carefully. Before refitting, fit a similar tube to the pressure switch & blow - you should hear a click; if not there shd be a problem with your pressure switch. Anyway refit your old tube & try the machine.
Dont forget to refit the main exit hose at the position you found it. All you guys are going to rate me....................
SOURCE: Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Error message code F1
HELLO, Error code F1 indicates a control failure and most likely the machine control board will have to be replaced. Depending on when you purchased the machine, the board may be covered under extended component warranty.
I had the same F1 problem and they had to replace the control board and something relating to the balance. The tech told me this is a common problem.
SOURCE: F21 on Whirlpool front load duet washer
"F21" is a Long Drain error code. The following link explains:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r1484065-f21_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore
In most cases this is simply caused by a clogged drain pump and all that is required is a good cleaning. Read through the instructions provided in the link on how to do this. Make sure the washer is unplugged while servicing any of the internal components.
If the problem persists, you may have a drain pump that is malfunctioning or is damaged. The manufacturer recommends replacing the pump if this is the case.
Let me know if you have any questions. I hope this helps you.

I just repaired a Duet Sport WFW8300SW00 today that was flashing the "add a garment" LED. It was the Motor Control Board on the bottom, with a cold solder on rectifier GR1. Just resoldered it and voila!
