I have a lenovo laptop 3000 n100 i reseted everything to factory defaults updated to windows sp3 and installed all software required for my computer to work. but the only thing is my usb ports do not read any external devices..any help to how i can get this running again ?
Re: I have a lenovo laptop 3000 n100 i reseted everything...
Does it recognize the devices in the first place? If it does then it could be the operating system is not compatible with the devices. If it doesn't, then you will have load the drivers for the onboard USB. You could check this through the Device Manager. Good luck.

Air cools the hardware components inside the laptop. The cooling fan draws air from the Bottom of the laptop. Dust, dirt, hair, lint, food crumbs,....you name it; is drawn in.
The Processor and graphics chipset, are the two hardware components that give off the most heat. When a Processor overheats, it turns off. (BIOS turns it off) This is a fail safe feature built in. Keeps the Processor from burning up.
ALL power removed, (AC adapter {Charger}, and Battery), and blow-ing air in the intake port, (Fan opening), will NOT repair. At most it is a temporary repair. Kind of like putting a Bandaid on a hole in a dam.
Laptop needs to be partially disassembled, and Q-tips, soft small brush, (Old makeup brush?), plus a can of compressed air for computers; needs to be used.
Also remove the Ram Memory module/s ('Stick'), and clean the gold plated contact pins, with a pencil eraser. Use air to remove the eraser dust, reinstall.

The wireless switch is at the front side of your Lenovo 3000 N100. (see pic.1). Press Fn+F5 to confirm if your wireless switch is on. If required, switch on the physical switch for your wireless connection.
I hope this works for you. Kindly reply for further assistance. Good Luck!

That is because someone has either removed, formatted or overwritten the partition on which the recovery software was stored. You'll need to find CDs of the software you want, starting with the OS, and install that way.
it simply means that the software for your finger scanner requires the omnipass password modules before windows allows it to work with its identification and authentication modules.
if your computer came with a built-in finger print scanner, all the drivers and the necessary software for it should have been installed already, you may also check the recovery disk that was given you when got when you bought your computer, tcheck out their site at www.softexinc.com
