Sony HDR_HC3 Problem code c:32:60 "reattach power source"

Have a Sony HDR-HC3. Came in from the cold and tried to use camera. It keeps saying to re-attach the power source. Won't focus and the error code C:32:60 comes up in the corner of view screen and it beeps. Tried re-attaching battery and resetting reset button. Let the camera warm up inside , changed tape. Still having the same problem. Really haven't used the camera a whole lot. Bought it last year brand new. Any suggestions before sending it in to service?
Thanx in advance for any help.

We have Handycam HDR-HC3. Our old PC worked well importing videos, but eventually died, and we upgraded, but didn't check new pc didn't have Firewire. We have a spare Vista PC which has Firewire socket,...

I searched under HDR-HC3 firewire driver and got the above link.

It says the following:

The problem was a missing MSDV.SYS file.

Actually, on the Sony site it says that no additional drivers are required to connect the camera in Windows XP, Vista, or 7.

But, the user of this camera and firewire noted that he was having trouble convincing windows of this.
Another link that talks about the firewire problem follows:
You can find more links by searching under 'HDR-HC3 firewire driver' or related searches to find the solution to your problem.

I hope this helps.

The door won't close on Sony HDR-HC3

Take?»¿ OUT the battery or disconnect the AC cord.
Turn the camera ON (tape, memory, edit settings) for 15 seconds.
Turn camera to off setting.
Plug battery or AC cord back in.
Worked for me and I had the stupid C32:11 error code for weeks! Door would not close. Followed the SIMPLE and SAFE instructions and IT WORKED! Just like magic. I couldn't believe it! Save your money TRY THIS!

I get a error code 30:23 on my HDR HC3 and it won't play or

Sony is pretty secretive about the :23 code. It can't be found anywhere. Sony recommends you do the following:
  1. Turn off the camcorder.
  2. Remove the battery or disconnect the AC power adapter for 120 seconds.
  3. Insert the battery or reconnect the AC adapter.
  4. Turn on the camcorder.
  5. If the error message appears, service may be required.

Cant record

C32 error codes are usually cassette or tape transport related. Can you eject the tape? Try inserting a new tape to see if the fault is with the tape itself.

If this doesn't work, I suggest that you take your camera to a service centre.
