Question about LG CHOCOLATE VX8500 Cellular Phone
I would suggest that you take it back to where you got it and tell them the problem, there may be something wrong with the phone and if so, you can have it sent out for repair to be fixed or they might just give you a new one

Verizon cellular phone service. The Chocolate, also known by the
model number VX8500, comes in a variety of colors and includes
features such as a camera and a music player. The phone can be reset
to factory default settings.
1. Access the menu by pressing the "OK" button.
Lightly tap the backwards button--the one with two small triangles
pointing to the left--on your keypad.
Press "OK," and then the number "5" button
Type in your lock code, a 4-digit pin.
Choose "Reset Default" by pressing "3."
Read the message on the screen and press "OK."
Choose "Revert" by pressing the number "1."
