Changing ringtones

I have a LG CU225 that I purchased through TracFone.  I downloaded a ringtone from the Tracfone site using my phone.  When I set the ringtone to what I have downloaded it plays and says that it has been selected.  However when I receive a call on my phone it plays the original ringtone that the phone was set to instead of the new one.  I have also tried to change the ringtone to one of the "built in" ringtones but it will not change.  It says that it has been selected but when I receive a call it plays the original ringtone not the newly selected one.  I have taken the battery off and turned it off and on numerous times with no success.  Please e-mail me at kashumate@gmail.com with your suggestions.  Thank you
