When you choose 'Scan' from your program of choice, there should be at two HP scan options in drop down box:
1) HP Officejet 5600 series Twain
2) WIA-HP Officejet 5600 series
Choose the TWAIN option.
You should then get a HP Scan box with a scan preview box.
Scan using document feeder and that should be it.
You may need to adjust size in 'Resize' box on left of preview box.
This scanning option is also good to make fine scan quality adjustments.

Hello, I am having a problem with a newly bought HP deskjet 2050 all in one; when scanning some of the documents end up with ~1inch cut off even though they are standard letter size. Any suggestions?

Make sure you are placing the page in the scanner properly, most will indicate what corner/edge the scanner begins scanning from, you may also try checking the settings for the scanning software to make sure its set to letter, or try setting it to legal if its already set to letter.

Change legal size to letter size

scan it as a document, re-scale it in required size and save then print in required size.

these adjustments are in your word or office programs. if you need to make it to copy, insert your original in the scanner, in paper tray insert your letter paper, select copy and then re-size, this should do it "on the run".

HP LJ 3030 w/ USB connection to a computer with Windows Vista Home Premium Svc Pack 2. 64-bit Operating System. Problem: When I feed legal size docs through the doc feeder, the scan is letter size. I...

Hello Steve !
The only way scanning Legal documents on this HP LJ 3030 willbe using the ADF ( Automatic Document Feeder) since the size of the flatbed its only for letter.

So, after placing the document on the automatic document feeder theres a few setting you will need to change on the printer.

Number 1 : Go to Main Menu on the printer and look for System Setup, under system set up look for Paper setup, hit ok and now look for "Def. Paper Size" and set it to "Legal"

Number 2 : you should have a button on the printer control panel (Physical printer) that says " Reduce / Enlarge" , hit it and make sure the one selected is "original=100%"

Now just hit "Start Copy" and it print LEGAL ! it worked for me

Hope this help !

HP 2727 scans first page as letter size and all other pages as legal size. I want all letter size.

Solution found: Change the scan default format to Tiff, but then save the document as PDF on the workstation. We think this is a newly discovered but unintended feature of the newest hp scanner software package.

Letter size document scans as legal size document

This is software setting issue. Just check your settings, if a 'default' button is available in the software, press it and then select your required settings. Some softwares dont accept the new settings unless the 'default' is pressed.

Scan letter

Most scanners in my experience do not scan to "precisely" 8 1/2 X 11 inch letter size (assuming that was the original paper size).

A workaround is possible with some graphic programs. After importing the original incorrect scan of the document into the software a combination of resizing and/or cropping (depending on how your program works) will allow getting the exact dimensions. Then save as a new image document. Make sure to adjust for sufficient resolution (a larger document) if you plan to reprint.

Scanned legal doc to email comes out landscape and prints on lett

select scan mode, then select legal on paper select. If you select paper before loading document into the ADF it should go with the size you enter.
