XBOX360 disk tray keeps ejecting

This is likely the same issue occurring when the disk tray will not open either. Suspect your drive belt is worn and requires servicing. This is best done by an xbox servicing agent. Not too expensive. I have been suffering with a tray that will not open for over 2 years now, however, I am able to fix it simply by ensuring a disk is always left in the tray. It only fails to open if there is no disk in the tray. Even then, I can open it by lifting slightly with a paperclip.

How to fix the 3 red rings

Hello there

If you need to fix this problem or any other xbox problem like open/close tray error, disk read error, 2 lights error, all error messages, no display and son, if you want to fix this your self and save loads of cash on the way then you need a Good Xbox repair guide,

The Problem is caused by over heating and this causes the GPU and the CPU to lose connection with the motherboard, The heat actually melts the soldering that connects the chips to the motherboard.

The best advice i can give is as i say a really good xbox repair guide.

i use this website here to keep me updated with the best ones www.dr-xbox.tk

READ TIP ON XBOX REPAIR GUIDES

Thanks for using Fixya

Thanks for your fix ya question. Have a look at this tip for the most effective

Hi there, welcome to fixya, a problem shared is a problem halved

i wanted to write this tip to give you a better understanding of Xbox repair guides.

1st i would like to say if your console is in warranty you may aswell send the xbox off to Microsoft as its free.

Repair guides mainly appeal to people who are no longer in warranty but cant afford to pay microsoft the $130 to repair. and also dont want to wait 6/8 weeks, as gamer scores and online stats are effected.

What is an xbox repair guide:

Well to start off with it is a downloadable ebook with clear picture's and step by step instructions on how to open your console safely and fix common error's like RROD, disk read error's, E error messages like the E73 and E74.

that is your box standard repair guide.

Which is the best Xbox repair guide:

Ok i cant answer that, i do know that a good Xbox repair guide will have the above mentioned, and will be accompanied with a members website wich gives you access to HD video's of an expert repairing the xbox common problems step by step. Also Acess to the forum of users which you can talk to and gain more knowlage of your problem and fix that way, and finaly once a member you get access to a technical support team 24/7 to help you with any fix your doing.

Which xbox repair guide do i use:

Ok so i use Chris jones Xbox repair guide as he has been in the game over 3 years and has everything i mentioned above, not only that he doesn't charge you the earch for his guide.

Make your own mind up:

ok so i found chris's guide on this xbox repair guide review site and it was no supprise they rated it number 1.
Have a look at the full review and see what you get with the guide.

Well thank you for reading and remember, if you need a Solution Fixya.com is the place to go

My son has an "Open Tray" error showing on his Xbox 360. He has unplugged everthing and plugged it back in, tried all of his disks...still not working...is there something we can do to reset it or does it...

If you already opened the 360, you can buy a replacement drive of the same kind (i.e. Hitachi, Samsung, Lite-on) and swap the PCB boards from the drives. I did this to fix my Open Tray Error.

But if you have your warranty, just send it in.

Disc is stuck in my sons xbox360, is there anything i can do without having to send it to germany, im uk, thanks

Hi Jim,
I can see how your son might have felt missing his fav games for the day, apparently the only possible solution would be to open the XBOX and removing the disc manually. Make sure that the warranty sticker is not torn or scratched while you do this process.
And if you are not confident then I would recommend you to fedex it to Germany Hope this helps

Disk jammed in console

Remove the Faceplate by prying your fingernails into the bottom of your faceplate and pulling up. After removing the faceplate try ejecting the disk again. If it still does not eject. Straighten a paperclip and use the manual eject hole under the disk tray. Do not force anything. just push in the clip and pull the disk tray gently. Good luck. Make sure to remove your disk before sending it in for repairs because they will not send any disks back with the console.

Xbox doesnt read any disks

Similar problem here. Worked fine last night. This morning...every disc put in gets you a "unplayable" response. Does play DVDs though. Weird. Called xbox and they are sending us a box for repair. This is the second time sending it in. We had the ring of death crap before and had to send it in. It was in repair when Halo 3 came out. My son was having fits not being able to play it.

xbox is not on the top of my list as being a good, reliable gaming system.

Can you hear any gears grinding when you try and eject it? Has anyone ever pulled or pushed the tray in roughly?
