Question about Samsung SyncMaster 204B 20.1" LCD Monitor
I had no problems with this monitor for over a year. I recently moved and within a few weeks the image suddenly developed purplish vertical lines (not all the way from top to bottom though), dimmed colors, extreme ghosting, and a loss of sharpness. I sent the monitor back to samsung and they sent me a new one. Within hours of starting to use the second one it started flickering on and off from time to time. It also had some pixels that turned differnt colors which made it look like the screen was sparkeling. It would do these two things on and off, and sometimes worked fine. I decided to unplug it though out of fear that something permanent might happen to it like the first one. My best guess is that the problem has something to do with the electricity in the house. It is old and the electrical outlets have not been updated. They don't even have grounds. Please let me know what the problems could be realted to. Thanks!
No, it is not the electricity in your house, I had the same problem. Send it back to Samsung and get a new one. I have had to send my monitor back 4 times!
