The picture looks like "double vision" and colors of green and pink are around everything...

Bad STKs, Probably STK 392-120, upgrade to STK 392-150 thru 180 depending on what you can afford, from what I have read it's better to go with the higher number. Just search for the stk or tv model number and convergence and you'll find all sorts of guides on how to do the repair. You'll need a soldering iron

Hitachi Projection TV sdx My picture has double images. The red and green seem to be separating out. Is it a serious problem or is repairing it worth it?

it will cost between 4 and 600 depending on where you get it repaired. If you post the model number to this same post I will list a link where you can get the parts and free instalation instructions where you can repair it yourself for alot less than a quarter of that price

Double focused, red and green, bow in picture top and bottom

You have a convergence problem
If the set has auto focus and will not complete its cycle.
The Auto focus module is bad, (expensive)
If it completes and the problem is still there.
Then check for bad conv. drivers (stk****) or cold solder joint on one or more of the 3 drivers pins.

Hitachi 61SDX picture got dim shows Code 3

use the advanced options page and reset the factor blue and red convergence defaults then do re apply the auto color defaults color at first it seemed very red (which is good because red was the missing factor in the green picture) but after reseting all the color and tints to the normal ranges I then reset the color auto correct again and all seems fine.

53UDX10B 53 in. Rear Projection "3D vision"

the convergence IC`s and associated resistors have to be replaced, do not repeatedly push magic focus or the alignment after the parts change out will take longer which of course means higher repair bill, good luck
