I have a acer ferrari 3400 and yes I played with adding some display software, but now nothing is showing up just the fan or harddrive running sound thats about it. I tried tapping on F8 frequently right after powered on but nothing seem to show up. I also use with the recovery disc in but still the same, blank screen.

Its really important you tell us what menu comes up it will help heaps. now...

your computer is not initialising correclty this could be becuse of a hardware or driver conflict, did you install hardware or open the computer recenlty?

bootup the computer in safe mode or try last known good configuration... this should solve the problem as it sounds like purely a software problem.

Unlock toshiba laptop

Some toshiba laptops have trouble with the touchpad locking up. I have tried using a wireless mouse and it has helped whenever the touchpad locks up. to unlock (I'm assuming you mean log in) you can click space instead of using the mouse.

Acer Aspire M/ The cursor disappeared and I cant get it back

first confirm that your touch pad is working or not. yor touch pad may be disabled or it may be dead. you can enable your touch pad in it's setting. you can connect an external mouse to your laptop to check that. or you can enable mouse keys in control panel.
