My battery will not charge. I will charge it, and it shows that it is being charged, but once I use it it says that the battery is exhausted and it turns itself off. I thought the battery was bad so I bought a new one. Same thing happens. Could it be the charger?

have bought numerous batteries and they are all "exhausted" immediately from the package into the camera - how can this be???

check corrosion on the battery contacts. Use a pancil eraser to clean them if you can get to them.
