You did not mention what model you have,but the System Recovery on page 3 of this link should help you recover the unit. If not please post the model of your unit.

From the icon next to your post, I assume that your unit is a StepNote NC1500. If so here is the manual and the System recovery procedure is on page 110:

How to recover everex system to factory setting?

Read the Manual.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "EverexSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Look for manuals on the site and search them for Factory Restore or System Recovery.

HOW TO DO SYSTEM RECOVERY WITH OUT A DISC

You can recover your system by creating bootable floppies which would allow you to access recovery console.

Microsoft knowledge base article #307545 will provide you the steps to recover the system.

How to recover the command bar

- 1 Open your Internet Explorer 8 browser by double-clicking on your desktop icon or selecting it from your Start menu.
- 2 Place your cursor over the menu bar and right-click. The menu bar contains the titles "File" and "Edit."
