Stuck on whisper mode

I think my 2 yr old son managed to turn whisper mode on, but now i can't turn it off. Maybe he did more than just that. During a call, i hit options, and it says "whisper mode on" but the words are grey instead of black and i cannot change it to "whisper mode off"  so i can't hear anyone that calls me, they can't hear me, i can't hear any of my mp3 songs, the only sound is from the volume button when i turn the volume up or down. any ideas? I'm at a loss.

My 24 yr old Son recienty died and I really need to get past the password on his Blackberry Torch 9800. There may be banking info that we need and we would really like to have any pictures/videos he may...

I am sorry to hear this news concerning your young son. If you service provider is no help and the manufacturer is no help the only option I can think of is a computer recovery service - the people who get information from seriously damaged hard drives. This is a long shot at best but the only shot that I can think of. I usually see recovery services advetised in the back of computer magazines like PC World. You can probably find the same by a Google search.

Good luck to you in this effort.

My LG Voyager stuck on headset mode

Turn your phone off and remove the battery. Also tap the headset port (where a headset would normally plug into).

When you reboot it back up it should fix itself. If it doesn't you have a hardware problem (its physically broken) you can see if its under its 1 yr warranty to get your free replacement, or if its older - there's always cell phone insurance.

How to put cell phone to speakerphone mode

From Page 39 of the manual:

Selecting Options (right softkey) during a call displays a list of
features you may use during the course of a call. To select an
option, press the corresponding keypad number or highlight
the option and press . The following options are available

 (1) Key Mute/Unmute allows you to mute the microphone
on your phone so the caller is unable to hear any sound.

Whisper mode

The problem might be the hearing volume. As far as I know, the only way to change it is in the middle of a call.

Here's what you should try...

1) Call someone.
2) Using the silver button on the left side of the phone, press the up arrow key a few times until the volume is all the way up. It will say "Hearing Volume".
3) During the call, go into the options menu and select the first option that will say "Whisper Mode On/Off". Select that and your problem should be fixed.

I had some problems at first but don't think i had this. Anyway, there are at least 3 different ways to copy music that I can think of. Nokia Music Manager (tho this can be slow), Copy from 'My music' in Xp (Music in Vista) or copy from Windows Media Player. You could also put your phone into Data Transfer mode rather than Nokia Mode and transfer the files in file manager. Hope this helps. By the way, if anyone wants to upgrade to a 5310, it should be a great little phone similar to 5300 but slim but I've had problems with it cutting out during playback and re-booting. My old 5300 which my friend now has, the speaker has just bust! I will be getting Sony Erricsson next!
