Question about Lowrance Iway 500c GPS Receiver
I have several music folders with various genres loaded on the unit. Everything worked fine for a while, then songs within folders disappeared. Looking at the GPS as an external drive from my computer, all of the folders are full, but when I try to use the music player while driving, the folders are empty. I tried deleting the folders and reloading the music but the same problem occurs. I described this to Lowrance Customer Service almost a year ago, and they said a software update would fix the problem. They have not issued any updates since that time.
you need to set up profiles for home or it will default to manufacture setting. There is a great dvd that shows you in depth info on your new toy so you can get the most out of it. or if you are like me you will just plug and play http://www.tigergps.com/loiw50indvdb.html

Original manufacture only, unless you want to take a chance and search eBay or something like that for used parts. The used or recycled part you buy may have a defect.

A "soft reset" can be accomplished by pressing and hold "Pages" key and press and hold "PWR" key till USA map comes on , then release both. A "hard reset" requires press and hold both "Z in" and "Z out" buttons and press and hold "PWR" button releasing all three when USA map appears.
