Re: Error code when running Apple Hardware Test

Its an issue with the hard drive in the lower slot. The volume may be corrupt of the drive could be physically damaged. Did you install the bottom drive? is it the drive with the OS installed?

What does this error code mean...4SNS/1/C0000008 TL0P==124

It's a temperature sensor error, usually the fans run at maximum rpm when this happens. The error indicates the LCD temp sensor is either reporting out of range data, is disconnected, or has failed. It is probably a damaged or disconnected sensor cable. A disconnected or missing sensor would simply force the fan(s) to run fast to protect the system.

Imac error codes?

This error means that there is a problem with the fan related to you hard drive. You could still use your computer but the HD may be compromised, you'd better backup all your data and bring your iMac to an Apple Service Provider

Apple hard test error 4sns/1/40000000:tp0p-131.000

This error code is from the PSU sensor. Verify that the single pin connector on the top edge of the power supply is present and securely plugged in. If damaged replace the DC PSU cable. Causes the CPU fan to run at full speed.

Video ram error 2ATI/1/4:113-A14404-118 in Apple hardware test Power Mac G5 DP 2,5 ATI Radeon 9800 XT

This one is pretty clear. Your machine is a June, 2004 model. Your video RAM is bad. Video RAM is not user-replaceable on the Radeon 9800 XT, so you will have to replace the Radeon card itself.

Screen gets distorted

Mine is doing something very similar now.  I managed to do the Apple Hardware test and it came up with the Error Code 2 FAN/5/7:  Hard Drive.  This leads me to believe that the problem is the fan by the hard drive.  Your problem may be the same thing.  If so, it's just a matter of finding the part and the installation instructions (on the Apple web site).
Try the Apple Hardware Test from the Mac Os Software that came with the computer.  You install Disc 3 and shut down the computer.  Then turn it on and right away press C on your computer. This action will take you to the Hardware test.  Press one of the buttons that does the test and see what results you get.
If you get the same error code you might want to check out for the fan.

You can try to boot from your recovery install media, by pressing the option key instead of the c key. Then choose hardware diagnostic, followed by selecting the arrow button. This test will be able to tell you if you have a problem.
