- hey, people. whats going on ,this is out to all the people having problems with their Jazz 179... open up the battery and check if it is in the right way...hope i helped you!PS. my Jazz 179 takes to one to two hours to charge at the max!

To guest, you have to plug in the camera firstly then the light should go red at the top once it stops flashing red you press the record/play button once and the light should go green, then you should be able to use it as a web cam

really you have to make sure the battier is plugged in the right way. the writing has to be up.

Also, the Jazz Camera comes with a NP-60 battery with 3.7V and 1050mAH. You can purchase a stronger battery on E-Bay for dirt cheap. Still NP60 and 3.7V but 1400mAH. This newer battery will take about 10-15 minutes longer to charge but will give you approx. 1/2 hour more video time.

I am having the same problem. I have had the camera plugged into the wall for well over 24 hrs but it still doesn't work on its battery alone.

Documentation does not indicate battery charge time. Approximate timing would be helpful versus 'when the blinking stops'. Won this camera at an event - how is the performance of the unit - any comments?
