Printing problem with Star Sp200

you will download a pdf format manual for the SP200, which can be saved to your computer for future reference.

try reinstalling the printer in the printer and faxes window under the controll panel by clicking on it and hitting the delete key, now select add a printer from the sidebar, and follow the instructions in the Wizard. Also check the printer settings and see if they are set to the defaults

You may want to use a new driver from www.star.com when you are printing make sure your using the right driver.

You'll more than likely need to go to the manufacturers website to download the drivers for the Operating system you've migrated to...even if its the same you'll still need to download the printer driver onto your new computer

Its caused due to a Paper Jam , What you can do is turn upside down the printer and shake to see if any paper has got stuck. then replug and check for a test page.

Sounds like the "template" is set for "letter size" paper rather than "receipt" paper.

Go to "Workstation" Preferences, and then "Printing". Verify the template selection.

This is caused by the line feed trigger. it is attached by a spring on the side of the mech, depending on the model of the SP200 there could be two triggers on the printer mech. Anyhow, it looks like a hand with a finger pointing out. This controls you line feed and has gone bad. one simple way to fix this is to put a dot label on the top of the trigger. the other solution is to send in for a new trigger.

The print head has gone out on your printer. The printhead will have to be replaced
