I had a 2GB flash memory "pqi" brand. I was at my friend's and i transfered some data...and everything went OK. After a while I noticed that the orange light in the flash was off! I'm sure it wasn't after I finished transfering! I replugged it tp find an error message telling that Windows didn't recognize the flash memory.
I came home and plugged it into my PC (XP SP2)...what happened is that the flash logo appeared next to the clock and the disk icon appeared in 'my computer' but a message appears when i double click the disk icon telling me to insert a disk into the disk which is supposed to be the flash!
To save your time, i've tried deleting USB hubs and controllers and disabling USB 2.0 but in vain.

the phone. If you have a Mac, you can use Nokia Multimedia Transfer
(free download) and sync it with your iTunes. how to put songs on nokia 5800-nokia pc suite To
transfer music as data files, make the connection with a compatible USB
data cable. You also need to have a compatible memory card inserted in
the device. View your nokia 5800 on a computer as a mass memory device.

N95 8GB has only mass storage memory. It does not have a slot for micro SD memory cards. Best method of data transfer is to use the USB to Mini-USB cable (should have come packaged with handset) and choose on the handset Mass Storage mode on connection for easiest and quickest data transfer.
No problem at all. As long as the phone recognizes the memory card, you can transfer the pics from it. What you do is - connect the phone to the PC as a Mass Storage Device through a data cable using the USB port. It will appear in My Computer as an additional drive which can be used as any other drive in the HDD. Copy, paste, delete, whatever.
However, remember that after the file transfer you must first stop using the card from an icon in the system tray and only when it tell you that it is safe to remove the card, then only detach it from the PC. Else there are chances of you card getting damaged.
