ensure spray arm holes are not blocked, the water level is good, the spray of water is strong, it is heating and the tablet is entering the wash, not much else can cause a bad wash. note dishwasher may not always be able to get rid of some coffee stains.

SOURCE: The dishes on the top are not getting clean what

I had the same problem and fixed it by disassembling the lower spray arm and return filter, and cleaning all the junk out.
Most dishwashers have 'risers' that bring the water up to the top sprayer or arm located under the top rack. If the recirculating pump is plugged even a little there won't be enough volume or pressure to get the water up there.
Test this by putting a dry muffin pan in the top rack, flat, and running the dishwasher for a bit. If there is no water on the top (or the bottom) either the top sprayer or the sprayer arm underneath the top rack is not getting enough volume.
To fix this you need to clean out the screen and filter, where the water returns to be recirculated. If you don't have any confidence to remove the parts and clean it out yourself, get an appliance repair person to do the job.

SOURCE: Dishes not coming out clean

The problem is hard water. There is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system. It filters the water before it enters your dishwasher. It works amazing and has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look after the first load. It is also very affordable (like 70 bucks). Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com to find out more info.

My goldseries whirlpool dishwasher is not cleaning dishes. Grey film left on glasses etc and cups are not getting tea stain off. I just bought large box of Finish Powerball

I have not had good luck with all-in-one soaps. I use the liquid drying agent with Cascade Complete and get sparkling results without prewashing. They do need to be rinsed if they have sat for a while before running the washer and use the hottest water to warm up the water in the washer pipe before you start the washer.

Dishwasher detergent not dissolving or cleaning tea stains

Have you tried using a dishwasher cleaner or salts? our dishwasher wasn't working for while because the inside of it was dirty. Otherwise, white vinegar and baking soda are good for removing tea stains in a cup.

Why are the coffee cups still stained after the dishwasher is finished, but all the other dishes are clean and santized

Coffee stains are just one of those things that your dishwasher just isn't going to remove. I assure you they are sanitized and safe to use. That being said there are some things you can do to remove the coffee stains.
Use a damp cloth to scrub out the inside with baking soda. Soaking overnight with hot water and baking soda may also work.
Soaking in bleach or vinegar over night. It goes without saying but make sure you rinse your mugs well if you decide to do this.
Fill with boiling water and a tablespoon of dishwasher detergent soak overnight.
Scrub with a paste of corn starch and vinegar. Leave on for 30min - 1hour and rinse.
Interestingly enough denture tablets have also been known to remove coffee stains. Toss a few in there and soak overnight.
Good luck!

Don't know much about Dishwashers but have you tried a descaler.
Is the water spraying out as normal.
Is the water actually getting hot, could be a heater element problem.

If you look here you may get some other ideas just by looking at the parts and diagrams. Copy the whole link and paste in to your browsers address bar.
