Question about Dacor Vista Tempered Mask blue & Ocean Master 3-d Dry Snorkel

Open Question

Big main frame cracked & leaks. Need replacement

The main mask, not the removable trim piece, has a chip cracked out of it which doesn't allow it to be sealed tight. Can I get a replacement frame or do I need to buy a whole new set? I have prescription lenses.

I have a LG LMX25981ST refrigerator. I need to know how to remove the front control panel on the door to replace the solenoid for the ice flap. How do you remove the front cover?

SEARS has a pretty reasonably parts library...
Their motive is to get you to hire them to do your repair...
but they also SEEM aware that modest income can be had by HELPING CUSTOMERS purchase GUARANTEED FIT repair parts from them...

They are certainly NOT the cheapest...
In my opinion...
PUSHY, PRETENTIOUS & overly expensive ($$$$) for
parts & especially service (but they do offer guarantees
(because they need them)..

Second attempt...
(this FIXYA site is running WORSE THAN some of the fractured appliances we are trying to help)

Found no decent repair videos... ERGO unable to say
CONCLUSIVELY that the door service TRIM merely SNAPS
into place

Protect your finishes with masking tape... around your "DOOR SERVICE" trim ring.

Get a clean new putty knife (edge covered with MORE masking tape and slip it under the edge of the trim & gently lift.

If it doesn't easily lift... quit & start making calls

My 2006 Hhr rear passenger side leaks onto the seat when it rains.t

This is a rather common issue with these trucks...and rather easy to fix.

There is a piece of rubber underneath the front trim that covers a hole in the upper firewall. Over time, the adhesive that holds it wears out & it works like a funnel...directing rainwater directly into the cavity & down into the cabin.

Top repair, lift the hood, and look at the base of the windshield. You'll see the large plastic piece of trim that goes across the width of the glass. Remove the screws holding it in place & remove it..

Now you should be able to see the rubber sheet that I mentioned earlier. Looks like an oblong piece of inner tube. I got a piece of thin sheet aluminum, and used the rubber piece as a template to cut it to the correct size. Then I used some adhesive caulking to bond the rubber piece to the bottom of the aluminum piece. Then I caulked around the perimeter of the hole & installed the new cover...then reinstalled the trim.

Works like a charm.. Cheap to do...and is a pretty quick fix. Maybe an hour in total.

How to remove JMC8127DD from cabinet

The wiring diagram for the microwave shows it is separate and distinct.
Usually slid-in counter top microwaves in this cubbyhole configuration have a trim piece surrounding & covering the front edges of the oven on all sides like a picture frame.
Normally you remove 4 or more screws in the trim frame, pull the frame off, then slide the oven out a little (there may be a locking tab on the cubbyhole's rails for safety) to unplug the cord, and then slide it out the rest of the way.
You can find installation instructions and other literature for this model for free download here.
You can find links to helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts and accessories for it here.

Sony e series laptop screen cracked ..Help!!!???

If you can carefully pull the trim piece off that holds your screen on then you can replace the screen. You will need an eye glass repair kit i.e tiny screw drivers. take the model and serial number of the unit and you should be able to buy one on ebay as i did. carefullly remove the trim piece and you should have access to the screen which tiny screws hold it in place. Remove the screws and carefully pull screen out and there should be terminal plugs that go from keyboard to screen. unplug them and remove screen. plug the new screen in and put screws back in. snap the trim piece back around screen and test.

2007 Vue door rattle

Remove the window trim at the rear of the front door. (There is a screw on the inside of the door frame at the top of the door. ) Place 3 or 4 thick beads of silicone adhesive on the inside of the trim piece. Don't put the adhesive on the alignment tabs. replace the trim and let the silicone cure overnite. I've had no problems for 35,000 miles since I did this.

How to replace fuel injectors on 1990 chevy 1500 silverodeo

Ok, I'm assuming it's a T.B.I. Make sure the key is OFF!! Remove the air cleaner assembly.Or disconnect the battery altogether to be safe.Open the gas cap. Use a 20mm on the main fuel line to the throttle body ( the biggest line, usually driver's side), just hold that though, don't torque on it. At the same time use a 19mm on the nut going into the fitting you're holding with the 20mm. Crack the nut loose, using the 20mm to keep the larger nut from turning out of the throttle body. Remember, "righty tighty, lefty loosey". Just crack it loose until gas flows, btw you do this step with the engine cold & a rag under what your doing. This releaves the pressure that may be in the line. I just watch my eyes, but you may want goggles or a clear mask,I got 17+ years experience,so use proper caution if this is the first time. Ok,the fun begins, on top of the injector's (should have 2) grip the top of the plug & squeeze the clips ( with fingers!!) & pull off the one you want to replace. Most have 2 Torx screws holding them in. You need to buy a set if you don't have them. They look like a "star" & if they have a *** in the middle of them, then you need a tamper proof Torx set. Remove the ones from said injector(s) & remove the aluminum hold down piece. There's a name for it but I'm keeping this simple. Grab the injector you want to change & twist it from side to side while using upward pulling force. All this should be done by hand, but if neccessary, use pliers, gently to help out. Once it's out reverse the procedure. Be sure to use new o-rings where applicable or available & lube them with a little tranny fluid , oil, but no grease or thick stuff! When you're done re-assembling everything, leave the air cleaner off. Close the gas cap, turn the key on,don't start it yet, & look for leaks. No leaks, good to go. Leave the air cleaner off & hood open still & start it up. Re- check for leaks. No leaks then shut it off, put the air cleaner back on & you're done!! Now, keep in mind this system usually has a primary & secondary injector, some have the same on both sides. So make sure that's the problem. In 17 years haven't seen very many bad injectors period. It's usually something else. Hope this helps. Be safe! This is a pressurized fuel system, it will or should spay when you crack that line loose. If it doesn't you have a fuel pump issue or it sat overnight, which is ok. If you have a muti-port injection system,... man that would be so much to type. In that case I would buy a repair guide. That would be the same procedure, but with alot more to do.Good luck!

My oven door shattered. i bought the glass and the outer trim. i need help installing it

This job is best done by two people, one to hold the glass in place, and the other to operate the screwdriver and position the handle and trim pieces.
The glass is held in place by the handle assembly at the top and a metal track at the bottom.  You remove the glass by removing the handle. Open the door part way until you have access to the back of the door.  The door handle is held in place by two screws on the back (the oven side).  Remove the screws, taking care to hold the handle in place.  Be sure to brace the glass, then slowly move the handle away from the door frame.  Remove the glass.  The side trim pieces will probably fall away from the door frame, although they will probably not fall all the way out.  My advice is to carefully remove them.  Be careful; they have tabs on the bottom edge that hold them in the door frame and these tabs are easily broken.  If yours are still in one piece you might just reuse them.
Remove the old glass panel and clear the bottom track of any debris.  Put the new glass panel in, beginning with the bottom track.  Set the oven handle on the top edge of the glass panel; there are tracks on the back of the handle assembly the top edge of the glass fits into.  Bring the handle toward the door frame, taking care not to let the glass panel slip out of the tracks.   The door handle has two collars that go through holes in the door frame.  Once you've got the collars through these holes, you can put the two screws back in that secure the handle to the door.
Take one of the side trim pieces.  Each trim piece has a narrow edge and a wide edge (like a capital "L"), The narrow edge faces the front and the wide edge faces the side of the door.  Each piece has a corner edge with a little tab sticking out.  These face down.  The opposite end of the trim piece has recessed edges. These slide under the edge of the door handle.  You want to insert this end first, then work your way along the length of the trim piece pushing the narrow edge between the door frame and the glass panel.
Here's the tricky part.  To get the bottom in, the best thing to do is to open (or better yet remove altogether) the drawer beneath the oven to gain access to the screws that hold the bottom track of the glass panel to the door.  Loosen the screw that holds the track in on the same side as the trim piece you're working on; the screws are on the bottom of the track about 1 inch in from the edge. Loosen the screw slightly and pull down on that edge of the trim as you push the trim piece in behind the glass.  Repeat until the trim piece tab slips through the hole for it on the track.  Tighten the screw back in place.
Repeat this process for the other trim piece. If you're patient and gentle, it shouldn't be too difficult.  I just did this myself today (2/7/09).
Good luck.

Interior Range Window cracked - How to Replace

It is simple enough not to need a manual.
1- open the door, then pull outwards. The door mounts slide right out.
2- lay flat on a towel on the floor. Remove screws on the inside of the door.
3- remove each piece and layer of the door and glass panels. Set them aside in order so you know how it goes back together
4- replace broken inner glass panel
5- put each piece back together, install screws
6- slide door (mounts) back into their homes on the front of the range

It is surprisingly simple. All you need is a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a bit of patience.

Tip: make sure to clean each glass panel while you have the door apart. Use a razor blade for those stubborn burnt on stains.
